Next Gen Entrepreneurs Take Over 124th National Black Business Conference in Atlanta
The National Alliance for Black Business (NABB), co-founded by The National Business League® (NBL), the National Black Chamber of Commerce® (NBCC), and The World Conference of Mayors® (WCM), is elated to announce the hosting of the NBL’s 124th National Black Business Conference® (NBBC). This landmark event is scheduled for August 21-24, 2024, at the Hilton Atlanta in downtown Atlanta, GA, and will coincide with Atlanta Black Business Week™, promising an exhilarating gathering of the nation’s foremost Black business leaders and community luminaries.
“It is time for a new generation to take the helm of commercial and Black business enterprise leadership throughout the United States and the Pan-African Diaspora. There is no success without succession. Those over 40 need to get fully behind the savvy, innovative, and AI technological and digitally engaged generation of Black business owners coming up in the game; it is their time now.” – Dr. Ken L. Harris, President/CEO, The National Business League.
The NBBC is thrilled to unveil its newly formed and highly anticipated Next Gen Summit, set to take place on Saturday, August 24, 2024, during the 124th National Black Business Conference®. This summit is dedicated to fostering multi-generational business pipelines while empowering the next generation of Black entrepreneurs, leaders, and innovators who are 40 and under.
“We are honored to bridge the gap between our esteemed leaders and emerging entrepreneurs. Our leaders are the pioneers who have laid the groundwork, setting the stage for future trailblazers. We must be intentional with our direct engagement to lead the way forward now and in the future. Together, we are unstoppable," said Cedric B. Hill, Next Gen Summit Committee Founding Co-Chairman and Business Development Leader at Unified State Group.
The NBCC Next Gen Summit will feature a dynamic lineup of panels, events, and networking opportunities designed to inspire and equip attendees with the tools and knowledge needed to excel in today's competitive business landscape. Highlights of the summit include:
An exclusive visit to the National Business League's headquarters in Tuskegee, Alabama, a cornerstone institution dedicated to the economic development and empowerment of Black businesses.
An empowering virtual global exchange with Black leaders from across the nation and over 40 African and Caribbean nations.
A multi-generational fitness and wellness pop-up featuring special guests.
Panels will cover a broad spectrum of interests, including business strategy, technology, financial literacy, and social impact.
"The Next Gen Summit at the 124th National Black Business Conference is all about bridging generations in business. The future of Black business looks bright. When we connect the experience of our elders with the innovation of our youth, we create a powerhouse of knowledge and creativity. It's this blend that is shaping the future of Black business globally. This is what Black excellence looks like," stated Sean James, Founder and CEO of VSNWKS™ and Next Gen Summit Committee Member.
The Next Generation Committee of the 124th National Black Business Conference is established to ensure that the Black 40 and under generation of entrepreneurs, business, and enterprise owners have a seat at the table and are at the forefront of digital and technology transfer, innovation, and vision for the future, following the Booker T. Washington model. Booker T. Washington held the first National Business League National Conference on August 23-25, 1900, in Boston, MA. This endeavor ensures his legacy lives on to carry the torch into the future, signaling a major shift in the global Pan-African diaspora business class succession.
